7-Year Journey – Thousands of Miles for Brighter Vision

Since its founding on September 16, 2016, Saigon Can Tho Eye Hospital has welcomed over 209,000 patients for eye examinations and treatments, restoring vision to more than 34,000 cataract patients. These achievements highlight the hospital’s unwavering efforts to improve eye health care throughout the Mekong Delta.

With a team of leading experts and modern medical infrastructure, the hospital constantly updates the latest advancements in ophthalmology. Since 2020, it has launched its LASIK Surgery Center, restoring clear vision to more than 2,000 young patients with myopia. Moreover, it is the first in the region to perform Phakic ICL lens implantation for complex cases of high myopia and astigmatism—with over 100 successful procedures to date.

Beyond medical excellence, the hospital is also deeply engaged in community outreach. In the first eight months of 2023 alone, it organized over 37 free eye screening and medication programs across the region, benefiting nearly 4,000 residents through early detection and treatment.
