Founded in 2001 as Vietnam’s first private eye hospital, Cao Thang marked a pivotal milestone in non-public ophthalmology. From the outset, the hospital focused on building a robust quality management system and, in 2003, officially earned ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management.

In July 2009, the hospital reached another landmark as the first in Vietnam to be accredited by JCI—one of the strictest global healthcare standards. Around the same time, it became a member of the World Association of Eye Hospitals (WAEH), and later joined the ASEAN Association of Eye Hospitals (AAEH) in 2012. That August, the hospital hosted its first international scientific conference, reinforcing its leadership in ophthalmic research and training.

Throughout its growth, Cao Thang Eye Hospital has forged strategic partnerships. In May 2024, it officially became a strategic partner of ZEISS—one of the world’s leading medical device brands. How to Visit Cao Thang Eye Hospital

1. Go to the information counter to pick up a queue number (not required if you booked in advance).
2. Register at reception and present your ID card, health insurance card, or referral (if any).
3. Wait in the seating area until your number is called.
4. When called, proceed to visual acuity testing.
5. Undergo refraction and prescription check.
6. Have a direct consultation with an ophthalmologist.
7. Make payment and receive your prescription for medications and/or glasses (if indicated).
