Dr. Tran Ba Kien, a Specialist Level II in Ophthalmology, is one of Vietnam’s most experienced ophthalmic surgeons and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Saigon Eye Hospital – Da Lat. He graduated as a General Practitioner, completed a residency in Ophthalmology, and earned his Specialist Level II degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Hue – one of the country’s most prestigious medical institutions.

With over 15 years of dedication to ophthalmology, Dr. Tran Ba Kien has successfully performed more than 60,000 Phaco surgeries to treat cataracts. He is also an expert in LASIK and Phakic ICL procedures, vitreoretinal diseases, and surgeries for strabismus, ptosis, pterygium, tear duct disorders, and oculoplastic & aesthetic eye surgery.

He has completed advanced training in the United States and holds numerous high-level certifications in Phaco surgery, refractive surgery, pediatric ophthalmology & strabismus, ocular imaging, oculoplastics, and vitreoretinal procedures. Dr. Kien has also held key management positions such as Deputy Director of Bac–Trung–Nam Eye Hospital, Thanh An Eye Hospital, and Director of Saigon General Hospital – Ha Tinh.

With strong expertise, extensive experience, and strategic leadership, Dr. Tran Ba Kien has been a pioneering force in building Saigon Eye Hospital – Da Lat into a reputable and modern ophthalmology center in Vietnam’s Central Highlands.
